It should be noted that work from home is becoming a normal part of life for most people, meaning that there is no need to go to the office, so they are also trying to see the world along with their work.
The term digital nomad is used for such people.
The list, prepared by Visa Guide, takes into account areas such as ease of visa availability, internet speed, tax policies, minimum income requirements for candidates, lifestyle costs, health and tourism.
The list has named Spain as the best European country for digital nomads in 2025.
It should be noted that Spain introduced the Digital Nomad Visa Program in early 2023.
1. Applicants must be from countries outside Europe.
2. Be a freelancer or employed by a company operating outside Spain.
3. Have no criminal record in Spain or elsewhere in the last 5 years.
4. Must have health insurance from a company that also operates in Spain.
5. Be qualified for their field, for which a university degree or work experience must be presented as proof.
6. The person applying for the visa program must provide proof of work history, freelancers must prove a professional relationship with a foreign company for 3 months.
7. The applicant must have enough capital to support his stay in Spain, his minimum monthly income must be 2750 dollars.
The digital nomad can also take his family to Spain, but then the monthly income must be 3750 dollars.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) came in second place after Spain.
Under the UAE visa program, people can obtain a one-year digital nomad visa and must have a minimum income of $3,500.
The option to extend the duration of this visa will also be available.
The UAE was followed by Montenegro, Bahamas and Hungary in third to fifth place respectively.
Canada was ranked sixth, Romania seventh, Portugal eighth, Brazil ninth and Curacao tenth.
