Actress Veena Malik's ex-husband Sad Khattak has accused his ex-wife of abducting children from Dubai. In his petition filed in the Islamabad High Court, Asad Khattak took the position that the Dubai court had banned the transfer of children anywhere. The children are US citizens, Pakistani authorities are involved in the abduction.
The court, while issuing notices to the Interior and Foreign Ministries on the application, also raised the question of under what authority Veena Malik assisted in raising American children. The High Court also directed the Home Secretary to send a representative to the court on February 4. Veena Malik and Asad Khattak were married in Dubai in 2013 and divorced in 2017.
