Earlier, the opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged a protest in front of the Election Commission office in Islamabad today against the delay in deciding the foreign funding case against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Islami (PTI). Maryam Nawaz Murree, daughter of PML-N vice president and former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, left for Islamabad to attend the event.

JUI-F and PML-N rallies continue to arrive in Islamabad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These rallies are entering Islamabad from the motorway and GT Road.
The PPP rally started from Milpur and is being led by PPP leaders Nayyar Bukhari and Faisal Karim Kundi.
Led by National Assembly member Tahira Aurangzeb, the women's rally reached Nawaz Sharif Park where workers welcomed the participants.

Security has been placed on high alert in the red zone of Islamabad, while a control room has been set up at the Interior Ministry in this regard.
The law and order situation in the control room will be monitored, and a heavy contingent of police will be deployed at the entrances and exits of the red zone.
Additional police and Rangers troops have been deployed for the security of all important buildings, with more than 1,800 police personnel on security duty.
