Pakistan's veteran fast bowler Sohail Tanveer has succumbed to the corona virus, making his participation in the Lanka Premier League doubtful.
Sohail Tanveer is in Sri Lanka to participate in the Sri Lankan Premier League and is the second player to catch the virus after arriving in Sri Lanka to participate in the league.
Before Sohail Tanveer, Canadian batsman Ravinderpal Singh was also a victim of Corona, who was made part of the squad by the Colombo Kings franchise.
Sohail Tanveer, selected by the Candy Tuskers, has been directed to stay in isolation in a separate hotel from the rest of the league's players and officials.
It is believed that Sohail Tanveer has not yet contacted any player or official of Candy Tuskers so the team will continue its preparations as per the schedule.
Sohail Tanveer was included in the squad in place of Wahab Riaz and Liam Plunkett, both of whom were selected as overseas players and withdrew from the tournament.
Sohail Tanveer has not yet left the league and his participation in the league depends on the recovery from the virus as well as the final decision of the league administration.
